Ecological and Ethical Strategy

How can we visually and strategically represent the ecological, social, and cultural challenges of an arts festival dedicated to youth?
Context
Oblique is a Paris arts festival created by and for young people, built around performing arts and climate awareness. I led its visual identity across two editions.
Problem
A festival with no budget, no history and no venue of its own had to look credible enough to convince institutional partners, while staying unmistakably young. Each edition required its own distinct visual, without breaking the thread between them.
Idea
Movement as identity. Oblique was conceived as an itinerant festival, so the visual system is built shifting compositions: an identity that never stands still, like its audience.
System
A vibrant palette and bold grotesque typography carry the energy of the festival; recurring graphic symbols translate its three pillars, youth, performing arts, climate. The system flexes across posters, outdoor campaigns, social media and on-site signage, with eco-conscious production choices baked into every format.
The identity helped secure a partnership with the Théâtre de la Ville de Paris, which significantly raised the festival’s visibility, and held strong across four editions with four distinct visuals.
